Guru Krupa
Guru - The word itself says that it is to remove the darkness of ignorance and present with the light of knowledge. So Guru is one who makes us realise the brahman or sachidananda within us, removes all the ignorance within.
Without Guru, one cannot realise GOD, it is guru who shows God, so a guru is greater than God. Guru Gita says that Guru is the most merciful one and he showers his grace to all in an equal way.
Then a question arises in mind, if Guru is the most merciful one and he is showering his grace equally on all, then why all the people around him are not getting benefit in the same way. Some are blessed the moment they approach him, some are there since years, some are there since many months etc. Why is there this differentiation between the people around him. Is there any special quality or parameter which is making this difference. An answer comes in the mind, there is no fault from his side, the fault lies with us, we are shielding ourselves with the shield of ego and many other pitfalls, which is not allowing his rainfall of grace to be fallen on us. Considering a simple analogy, guru is like a radio station which is transmitting his signals equally to all, those whoever are tuned to that particular station can catch that frequency and listen to that programs, whoever are not tuned to that frequency can never receive those programs. The sole activity of a guru is nothing but to uplift all the people whoever comes to him. For himself he doesnt require anything, it is only out of his mercy towards all, he takes all the pain whoever comes to him in uplifting them. Depending on their previous tendencies or samskaras, and depending on their present level of purity and the pitfalls existing in them, guru guides them or gives them instructions or puts them on a path which helps them remove their pitfalls. Now the time taken by us in getting ourselves purified depends on us and the faith we have on our guru and the amount of time and work we invest in this process.
It is a foolish argument if someone says because they are unable to receive the programs that he is not transmitting any programs, we need to check from ourselves, we need to tune our frequencies so that we can receive his transmission, we need to remove the shield of our ego and pitfalls existing in us to get drenched in his rainfall of mercy.
Right from our childhood we have been trained, taught and habituated to point at others, rather than cross checking with ourselves, if we dont get the mercy of guru, we blame him rather than checking from ourside. The day we start checking from our side. Why I am not getting the mercy of Guru. We start analysing ourselves, we will find all the pitfalls in ourselves which are acting as shields in not letting the rainfall of mercy falling on us. slowly when we pray from our heart that - guru, we have identified our mistakes, please bless us and give us enough strength so that this shield of pitfalls which is not allowing your grace on us to be removed. This process continues and slowly we remove all the pitfalls and remove them by the grace of guru, when there are no more pitfalls in us and our heart and mind gets pure, then guru will sit there in our heart and we can experience the true sachidananda, the eternal bliss which is being bestowed by the Guru.
The Easiest way to get Guru Krupa
Follow the Master- Following the master is the easiest way to get the mercy of a guru. There are so many people associated with a guru around him. Depending on their samskara or tendencies, he will be giving instructions and guiding them. It is the process of removing the pitfalls in us. For this he takes all the pain, out of his mercy to uplift us so that we become pure in our heart and mind. We need to be ever attentive in listening his words, out of his various instructions not every instruction is for us, when we carefully follow his instructions, his actions, we can feel that one of the actions or one of the instructions is for us, we need to catch that action or instruction, and we need to follow it rigorously and passionately in a focused manner. That is the path prescribed for us, which will take us foward towards removing our pitfalls and making us pure so that we can realise and experience the sachidanda in us. That is the goal of our life. That is the end point from where there is no return. The one thing from our side should be unshakable faith on our guru, let the world become topsy tuvy, we should not shake from our path or get distracted, because we dont understand, we should not question. Questioning is not bad, but questioning with doubt is bad, one has to question only in clearing his doubts having total faith on guru to move ahead in his path. We should never question guru, why you have prescribed that instruction or that action for that person, why you have given this action or this instruction for me. He knows better, what to give, when to give. Let us not get distracted or leave him. He is the sole protector in this entire universe, he was there earlier, he is there now and he will be there in the future. Let us not waste more time by moving here and there in doubt. Let us attach ourselves to Guru and follow him till we reach our goal. Our Family, friends, relatives or anyone whom we may know may leave us at one point of time, but our guru never leaves us.
May everyone get this realisation with the blessings of gurudev.
